FIRE:
This invention made us move from place to place and it also put speed in our invention history. When we didn't need so strong teeth to chew meat (It's pretty tough to chew raw meat), we could give even more space to our brains.

LANGUAGE:
Now we could communicate in a fast and intelligent way. The hunting got more efficient, and we could share knowledges from generation to generation.

CREATIVITY:
When we started to make arts and music, a whole new world opened up for our brains. Now we could think of new and revolutionary thoughts.

AGRICULTURE:
No other invention have meant so much for our civilization as the knowledge of farming. Before, 1 square-km perhaps had food for one person. After the invetion, the same square-km had food for 100 persons. Over time, the farms evolved to villages and cities, the society was invented. And when we didn't need to worry about the food storage, we could have time to invent even more marvels.

WRITING:
What used to be storaged in our instable memories, could now be printed for ever on a rock/papyrus/paper. The average intelligence went up even more.

CHRISTIANITY/ISLAM:
What these two religions have in common, is that they could expand very well. A few centuries later, we didn't need to worry about paganist barbarians. Our world got even more civilized.

COLONIZATION:
When the Europeans started to get resources from "nowhere", the economy started to flourish. Today's most economy basics and storages has roots to the colonization time. It has also been the foundation for the next important invention.

INDUSTRIALISM:
The second revolution after the agricultural one. Now people could be moving to cities to work in the factories. The lifestyle soon got changed for the big majority of the people. After WWII, most of us in the western world has gotten a class that didn't exist before, middle-class.

MICROCHIP:
Now our lifes got so easy so quickly. What would take ages to calculate, could computers now count out the answer before you could say "Help me". Money got abstract, we could find ourselfs anywhere with GPS, we could visit Paris without take a fligt there and so on.

INTERNET:
When it was released, it wasn't a really big revolution. Sure we could connect us with each other, but it's the Web 2.0 features that has really going to take us people to a new level. Suddenly Wikipedia got us smarter, we could see any kind of experiment on YouTube, we could see other peoples thoughts at blogging site. We became one race with MySpace, we could see spectacular footage at Flickr. We are no longer isolated
